30mm x 3.1mm KBR Sailing untapered battens, available in sets or as single battens made at the time or your order to your specifications, including end caps.
 
Sail battens are stiff, flexible strips inserted into sail pockets to support the roach (the area extending beyond the straight line from head to clew), prevent flapping, and maintain proper aerodynamic shape. They improve performance by keeping the sail stable under load and enabling a fuller, more efficient profile in various wind conditions. They also prevent long-term damage to your sail from flogging.
 
The 30mm x 3.1mm battens give them a more even bend and a bit more stiffness than thinner battens, the 30mm width reduces a twisting action which can damage the stitching in the sail pocket.
 
 
All our battens come with end caps fitted, but we can leave one or both cap(s) loose at your request.
 
 
How to order battens:
1 - Choose each size that covers your need from the drop box, then provide your specific size in the personalisation box provided. We will cut & finish them to your exact size at no extra charge.
2 - Add to your basket. You can add as many individually sized battens as you like 
 
3 -Once you're happy with your set of battens, check out, and we will put them together in a set for you.
